As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our leadership team to deliver exceptional customer service while assisting fans in finding their favorite merchandise. You will also help in training new team members and will be a key player in daily store operations focused on meeting sales objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering an engaging shopping experience that fosters customer loyalty through your product knowledge and customer service expertise. Assisting with store operations by actively working on the sales floor and stepping in for managers when needed. Opening and closing the store as required. Accurately processing transactions and leveraging your fandom knowledge to enhance add-on sales and services like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Understanding sales goals and key performance indicators such as UPT and ADT. Helping with store layout updates, merchandising, and creating eye-catching visual displays. Communicating current fashion and music trends to management and HQ. Ensuring store security and collaborating with management to prevent theft. Organizing stockroom inventory and keeping the store clean and presentable. Fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. Performing other tasks as assigned by store leadership. To succeed in this role, you need: A minimum of 1 year of retail experience, ideally with a passion for music and pop culture. Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills. A high school diploma or GED. The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products effectively, and lift up to 50 pounds.
