As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager Level 1, youll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans find their favorite merchandise. Youll leverage your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support daily store operations and sales goals. WHAT YOU'LL DO Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits through your product knowledge and customer service skills. Step in and support store leadership when needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting with daily operations. Take responsibility for opening and closing the store as required. Operate the register, process sales transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager. Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT. Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising. Share insights on fashion and music trends with management and HQ partners. Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security. Support stockroom organization and store cleanliness. Contribute to developing and maintaining a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively. Perform any other duties assigned by your Store Leader. WHAT YOU'LL NEED At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus! Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to mentor others. A high school diploma or GED. The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and handle merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
