About the Role

The Company is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to establish and lead the finance, capital, and regulatory framework for a newly formed life and annuity platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving capital strategy, supporting fundraising efforts, and developing key relationships with investors, lenders, auditors, rating agencies, and regulators. This role also involves overseeing the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and capital plans in line with regulatory requirements and growth objectives, as well as creating scalable financial systems and controls, and ensuring compliance with solvency regulations and risk-based capital requirements.

Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in progressive financial leadership within the life and annuity sector. The role requires deep knowledge of NAIC regulatory reporting, life and annuity company financial operations, and a proven track record in raising capital, managing stakeholder relationships, and building finance functions in startup or scale-up environments. A CPA, MBA, or advanced degree in actuarial science or finance is preferred, along with familiarity with reinsurance structures, capital optimization, and insurance-specific financial systems. The CFO will also be tasked with leading all audit activities, managing external partnerships across various financial functions, and preparing financial statements and reporting frameworks to support licensing and rating processes.
