You will also be fully trained to step in as the Store Manager when needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Welcome customers with a friendly and professional approach. Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, handling cash, credit, and debit payments. Ensure accurate pricing and discounts are applied to all items. Provide customers with information about products, promotions, and store policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously. Keep checkout areas clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Monitor for discrepancies or suspicious activities at the checkout. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations. Adhere to safety and security procedures to protect customers and store assets. Restock shelves, coolers, and displays while maintaining a visually appealing store. Conduct general cleaning throughout the store, including service areas, restrooms, sales floor, food prep area, and parking lot. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in cashier or customer service roles is a plus. Strong mathematical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Aptitude for accurately handling cash transactions. Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems. A positive attitude and eagerness to assist customers. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Provide guidance and support to team members in the deli or cashier areas. Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies. Conduct training sessions for new team members, ensuring familiarity with procedures. Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders and restocking supplies as needed. Ensure the quality and freshness of deli products, maintaining presentation standards. Address escalated customer inquiries, providing effective solutions and ensuring satisfaction. Oversee cash handling procedures, including register operations and preparing deposits. Communicate effectively with the Store Manager and team members, providing updates on tasks and goals.
