Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer knowledge and engagement. Maintain store appearance through effective merchandising and stocking of products on shelves. Assist in supervising team members, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed. Foster a welcoming environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience with POS systems is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base. Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on additional responsibilities. Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory. A proactive attitude towards upselling and enhancing the customer experience is essential.
