As a Retail Assistant Leader, you will play a vital role in helping our store achieve this vision. Your Role: The Retail Assistant Leader supports the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, focusing on team development, expense management, and enhancing our operational effectiveness. You will have a wide-ranging impact on our business as a key leader. Key Responsibilities: Embody the values of Adventure Guides, Serve Others, and Own It. Assist in hiring, training, and retaining exceptional team members who reflect our values. Work alongside the Store Manager to cultivate a strong talent pipeline by developing internal talents and attracting skilled external candidates. Encourage behaviors that support a world-class selling organization through coaching. Manage office and warehouse payroll within budget guidelines to drive efficiency. Optimize delivery processes to enhance productivity and reduce non-productive activities. Collaborate with the Store Manager to generate insightful ideas for improving profitability. Ensure best practices are effectively implemented in our delivery processes. Maintain appropriate staffing levels in customer service and warehouse roles. Partner with the human resources team to align on training, development, and compliance needs. Who You Are: You possess a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years of leadership experience in a retail or operational role. You have effective communication skills, able to present information clearly in various settings. Proficiency in mathematics and business technology systems. You have a proven track record in strategic talent management and organizational development. You thrive in high-pressure environments and excel at task prioritization. You demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving with adaptability to change. Your leadership style is rooted in serving others, with a focus on team goals. You possess an owner’s mindset, taking responsibility while empowering your team. Proven ability to coach others towards higher performance and to drive results. You have a desire and enthusiasm for continuous improvement and innovation.
