Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys/paralegals Format briefs, pleadings, correspondences and other legal documents File legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing knowledge is a must) Regularly and accurately proofread all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing Update and maintain client files Maintain attorney calendars through Outlook (i.e. schedule appointments, calendar due dates, etc.). Organize, coordinate, and schedule travel arrangements for assigned attorneys Prepare attorney reimbursements and mileage Accurately enter, review and revise timekeeper timesheets including consistent identification of litigation codes, when applicable Review and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices; prepare accurate check requests and timely submit invoices for payment to client or accounting Assist in the timely submission of conflict checks Consistently provide friendly and helpful telephone support for assigned attorneys and/or receptionist relief Assist with gathering daily mail and upload to the correct client file. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of New York and New Jersey Filing Systems File & Serve, NYSCEF, Pacer, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, DropBox, and Excel (Aderant knowledge is a plus.)
