Full-Time Retail Store Associate Join our dynamic team as a Retail Store Associate, where you will play a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Your efforts will directly enhance the overall customer experience. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50 Duties and Responsibilities: Successfully perform the following tasks, with or without accommodation: Exhibit the ALDI Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills consistently in your role. Efficiently process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, and create attractive merchandise displays. Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Work collaboratively with team members while clearly communicating with the store management team. Provide constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, errors in scanning, and any general concerns. Assist in conducting inventory counts in accordance with established guidelines and monitor inventory accuracy. Follow cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, safeguarding documents and sensitive data. Perform other assigned duties as needed. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving, including placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Ability to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this role. Demonstrated ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service. Capable of operating a cash register accurately and efficiently. Ability to safely and effectively use equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. Competent in performing general cleaning duties to maintain company standards. Adept at interpreting and applying company policies and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, following instructions and multi-tasking in a professional manner. Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous work experience in a retail environment is desirable. A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
