Full-Time Retail Store Associate As a Retail Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is well-stocked, organized, and inviting for customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. Position Type: Full-Time Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week Starting Wage: $20.50 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $21.00 | Year 3 - $21.50 | Year 4 - $21.50 | Year 5 - $22.50 Duties and Responsibilities: Embrace and demonstrate ALDI’s Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills. Process customer purchases and uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the store. Deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers to enhance their experience. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management. Provide constructive feedback on products, inventory issues, and other store-related matters. Participate in inventory counts following company guidelines and monitor inventory accuracy. Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses. Comply with all company policies, ensuring the security of documents and data. Perform additional duties as needed. Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at varying heights. Regularly requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking around the store. Must be able to perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: At least 18 years of age. Able to provide prompt and courteous customer service. Proficient in operating a cash register accurately. Knowledge of safe equipment operation including electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers. Ability to maintain high cleaning standards as per company requirements. Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks. Meet any local and state requirements for selling alcoholic beverages. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior work experience in a retail setting preferred. A combination of education and experience demonstrating relevant knowledge is also acceptable.
