Job Title and Status Job Title: Facility Services Supervisor Status: Full Time Day Benefits Eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and RX after 30 days of Employment Company Paid Group Life Insurance/Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability (after 90 days) Flexible Spending Accounts Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full Time & Part-Time Team Members Tuition Reimbursement & Scholarship Program 401K Retirement Plan: Eligible after 90 Days of Employment (age 18+) Employer match after 90 days On-Site Gym Referral Bonus Program Compassion and Relief Fund Wellness Programs Employee Assistance Program Discount Programs 24-hour coffee/tea service Appreciation Days & Special Events Potential for Annual Resident Christmas Bonus and Increases American Heritage Credit Union Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the Facility Services team, including scheduling, work delegation, and oversight of work quality Supervise and support maintenance staff, promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork Participate in hiring, training, and performance feedback Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, OSHA, and Department of Health standards Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment logs, and preventative maintenance schedules Coordinate generator testing, fire drills, and facility inspections Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in on-call rotation as needed Communicate regularly with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and timely resolution of requests Maintain departmental inventory and support procurement needs in coordination with leadership Collaborate with Grounds, Environmental Services, and Skilled Nursing as needed to support cross-departmental goals Interact with vendors, contractors, and service providers Qualifications An understanding of and willingness to live out our mission and values, providing compassionate person-centered care to all residents High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training in maintenance trades preferred Experience in plant operations, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA Life Safety Code, and regulatory compliance Ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively Willingness to lead both operational and cultural aspects of the department About Frederick Living / Garden Spot Communities Garden Spot Communities is a nonprofit organization with locations in New Holland, Akron, and Zieglerville, PA.
