A Brief Overview Provides supervision and guidance for general maintenance activities and projects throughout the facilities. The position will coordinate functions, activities, schedules, solve procedural problems and be required to make independent decisions concerning emergency situations. What You Will Do Supervision of the maintenance team responsible for the operation and maintenance of facility buildings, grounds, equipment and systems. Conducts regular inspection and maintenance rounds to ensure maintenance team tasks are completed thoroughly and timely according to department goals. Coordinates the scheduling process and maintains appropriate staffing levels to maximize department efficiency. Supervises all Contractor work on campus. Maintains clinical competence in order to serve as a resource to staff. This may include but is not limited to, performing a broad variety of general maintenance duties as needed; maintaining daily log of activities; responding to emergency codes and security requests; respond to Care Flight operations as needed. Prepares reports or summaries on the status of operations, maintenance and construction activities. Assists with the collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Quality Assurance Department, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines, or as may be required by the law. Provides input for the development of the annual department budget (i.e. capital equipment needs). Prepares reports or summaries on the status of operations, maintenance and construction activities. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
