The Entry-Level Shift Supervisor Trainee role is designed as a short-term, foundational position that equips individuals for future supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. In this role, you will gain essential training in basic operations and management skills while learning about vital aspects of our business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and the CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successfully completing this training program, you will be eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions.
As a leader in our store, you will support the CVS Store Management team in driving operational excellence and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. When a manager is not on site, you will take charge of the store staff, ensuring that operations run smoothly and that all opening and closing procedures are completed properly.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate effectively with store management and team members.
Supervise store crews by assigning tasks, directing activities, and following up on progress.
Communicate vital information to and from store management and staff.
Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
Uphold and promote the CVS customer service culture (greet, offer help, and express gratitude).
Manage customer relations issues according to company policies and contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Protect customer and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess strong deductive reasoning abilities, analytical skills, and computer literacy. Effective communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in retail is advantageous.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Available shifts may include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Pay Range:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.00 - $24.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
