The Opportunity: Join our dedicated team responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient donor experience during the pheresis process. As a Donor Support Technician, you will directly contribute to the vital work we do at CSL Plasma. Your Responsibilities: Prepare autopheresis machines for donor procedures. Monitor donors throughout the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals. Safely disconnect donors after the procedure is complete. Stay vigilant for any reactions or issues from donors and promptly notify relevant staff. Utilize a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents during the pheresis process, including machine alerts and donor events. Link equipment and supplies used in the process to respective donors using the PDA. Communicate any donor flow challenges to the Group Leader or Supervisor. Accurately document donor information in our electronic management system according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain a clean and organized working environment, ensuring adequate supplies are available. Adhere to all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies to keep safety a priority. Protect the confidentiality of all personnel and donor information. Potentially cross-train in other areas to support the business needs. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: A minimum of three months in a healthcare or medical environment preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to perform basic math calculations. Working Conditions: Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions. Must communicate effectively and observe equipment operations. Capable of standing and walking up to 100% of the time. Occasionally required to reach, bend, kneel, and demonstrate high manual dexterity. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed. Thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Exposure to hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens; personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. May require overtime or extended hours to meet operational needs. Compensation: The expected base pay for this position is $14.10/hour - $18.35/hour, based on qualifications, skill level, and experience.
