Duties Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution. Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences before the WCAB. Conduct client intake and maintain empathetic communication throughout the case. Draft pleadings, motions, trial briefs, and correspondence. Handle discovery, including depositions of parties and experts. Negotiate settlements and prepare necessary agreements. Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to advance cases efficiently. Stay informed on changes in California workers' compensation law. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school and active California State Bar membership. 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation matters (applicant-side preferred). Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills. Professionalism and confidence in courtroom and client interactions. Ability to manage deadlines and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate, client-first mindset with strong interpersonal skills. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in the California State Bar. Skills Advocacy and negotiation skills.
