Location: Tampa, FL Industry: Life Sciences / Healthcare / Nonprofit Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM Salary : $23.50/hr. Employment Type : Contract to hire

In this role, you will perform administrative and secretarial duties of a complex and confidential nature in support of a professional group or organizational department. You'll play a key role in keeping the department running efficiently, relieving leadership of clerical and administrative responsibilities, and ensuring day-to-day operations flow smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional administrative and clerical support to departmental leadership Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange logistics for both in-person and virtual gatherings Answer and route phone calls, organize incoming mail, and handle office communication Submit purchase orders, expense reports, and check requests for approval Arrange travel accommodations and ensure timely coordination of schedules Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in all areas of responsibility Qualifications: Three to five years of administrative or clerical experience (experience in healthcare or nonprofit a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar and formatting Ability to multitask, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines independently Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute Professional demeanor and appearance Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds as needed Why Join Us: Work with purpose, supporting a nationally respected nonprofit committed to saving and improving lives Enjoy company-paid medical, dental, life, and disability insurance Receive generous paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Gain valuable experience in a high-impact, mission-aligned environment with room to grow
