Administrative Assistant Part Time

Congressional School seeks an Administrative Assistant to work part-time in our Little School which is the main building for our students ages 6 weeks through 5 years. As the first point of contact providing customer service to faculty, staff, students, parents, grandparents, vendors, and other external parties, the Administrative Assistant must be friendly, outgoing and truly enjoy interacting with people. This is a high profile, customer service position, and the Administrative Assistant must always act in a courteous and professional manner and dress accordingly. The Administrative Assistant will handle all aspects of front desk management and security. In addition, the Administrative Assistant may provide administrative support to faculty and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as first contact person, via phones and greeting parents/visitors to the school Screens visitors using with school-wide security system Receives all incoming calls and directs as appropriate Sorts and distributes mail Enters attendance data and forwards to appropriate personnel Provides administrative support to faculty and staff Performs specific functions related to medical emergencies, security, and crisis management codes and systems Maintains strict confidentiality regarding children and their families Ability to obtain certification in First Aid & CPR and Medical Administration Training (MAT) Performs other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum two years administrative experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to multi-task Exceptional customer service skills Strong initiative and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills An ability to work in a joyful, collegial and collaborative environment A sense of humor, warm personality, and growth mindset
