Job Title: Associate Attorney – Workers’ Compensation & Senior Attorney – Employment Law Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid) (90% remote, 10% in-person). + Bonus Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Roles: Our firm is expanding and seeking two key hires: Associate Attorney (Workers’ Compensation Defense) – 3+ years of experience. Senior Attorney (Employment Law Defense) – 5–10+ years, with a focus on school district/public sector defense. Key Responsibilities: Represent insurance carriers, TPAs, self-insured employers, and school districts in litigation. Handle workers’ compensation cases (pleadings, depositions, lien resolution, settlements). Defend employment-related claims (wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, agency complaints). Manage discovery, hearings, motions, and trial preparation. Draft employment policies, contracts, and client correspondence. Advise clients on ADA, FMLA, Title IX, and collective bargaining agreements. Mentor legal staff and conduct compliance trainings for HR/administrators. Ideal Candidates: Associate Attorney (WC): 3+ years of WC defense experience, strong litigation skills, ability to manage caseload independently. Senior Attorney (Employment Law): 5–10+ years defense experience (school districts/public entities preferred), trial exposure, and 80%+ focus on employment litigation in the last 5 years.
