An opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists to provide specialized support in an educational setting located in San Francisco, CA. This contract position focuses on Pre-K intake assessments and FMLA coverage at an elementary school through June 3, 2026. The role requires on-site presence and a dedication to delivering high-quality speech therapy services to young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre-K intake speech and language assessments, ensuring accurate documentation and progress tracking.
- Provide FMLA coverage by supporting an elementary school SLP caseload for the remainder of the school year.
- Collaborate with school staff, educators, and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure and credentialing requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning as needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).
- Clear or professional Speech Services Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not required.
- Must hold Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Previous experience working in school-based settings.
- Candidates who are bilingual and/or fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) will be given preference.
- Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Clinical Fellows are not eligible for this position.
