As a key partner to the Store Manager, you'll lead operations and merchandising efforts to achieve outstanding performance while fostering a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities: Champion customer service in both online and in-store experiences. Welcome every customer with enthusiasm and maintain a positive demeanor. Engage proactively with customers, listening to their needs and offering tailored suggestions. Educate customers about exciting promotions and diverse merchandise to support informed purchasing decisions. Create opportunities for upselling by suggesting complementary items. Foster an engaging workplace culture that promotes teamwork and personal growth. Drive sales growth and maintain expense control while protecting company assets. Monitor store performance metrics and communicate results with the Store Manager. Analyze business data to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for improvement. Network within the market to attract and recommend potential new hires to support staffing needs. Build high-performing teams focused on achieving company goals and initiatives. Support effective communication of strategies, business opportunities, and change initiatives among the team. Adapt to changes in initiatives and directives to ensure results are achieved promptly. Occasionally travel to other locations as needed to provide support. Exemplify and promote Kirkland's core values in all interactions. Perform any additional duties as needed. Qualifications: Preferred college education or 1-3 years of retail management experience. Willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities is preferred. Energetic and results-driven, with a strong competitive spirit. Ability to read and interpret operational documents and manuals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Availability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Must possess a valid driver's license. Capable of transporting company funds securely. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Needs to execute store operations efficiently using Point of Sale systems and devices.
