JOB FUNCTION: As a Retail Systems Analyst, your primary focus is the maintenance and improvement of existing retail systems. Your responsibilities would include the technical development, creation, and operation of the point of sale (POS) and other retail systems. You will work closely with almost every member of IT, as well as key business stakeholders; so excellent communication skills are a must! This is a hybrid position,based out of the Fareway Corporate Office in Johnston, IA. Normal schedule for this position will be Tuesday through Saturday. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, test, and implement changes and upgrades to the POS, payment, and/or corporate host systems. Interpret business requirements into actionable development tasks. Systems administration for Windows servers and lanes. Design and implement custom reporting using SQL. Provide the highest levels of customer service to executives, managers, and store-level employees as tier 2/3 support, including occasional on-call work. Develop and improve documentation to support problem analysis and resolution. Administration of IP telephony. Other duties assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High-level communication skills Strong work ethic High technical aptitude Ability and desire to learn new tools and technologies including a scripting language Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting abilities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field Experience with Sencha development
