As a Retail Store Leader, you'll embody our 'Go for WOW!' standard of service at Duluth Trading Company. What You'll Do: Sales and Goals Achievement: Lead the team in driving sales and profitability, consistently surpassing set financial goals. Understand sales metrics such as Average Order Value, Units Per Transaction, and Conversion Rate to set clear expectations for team performance. Oversee merchandise presentation to align with Visual Merchandising standards, ensuring effective execution of sales initiatives. Organize and communicate promotional signing effectively. Monitor merchandise allocation, assessing shifts in traffic and buying trends, communicating changes promptly.

Customer Service: Exemplify outstanding customer service, engaging with customers and setting the tone for team interactions. Develop deep product knowledge and a strong understanding of the Duluth brand to provide solution-oriented service. Coordinate staffing levels to maximize customer engagement on the sales floor. Ensure accurate recording of customer profile information. Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the store.

Human Resources/Leadership Skills: Recruit, hire, train, and motivate employees effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Fill vacancies in a timely manner and address employee concerns with professionalism and integrity. Make informed decisions and provide consistent feedback to strengthen team performance. Recognize and nurture talent to support employee progression within the company. Adhere to company policies and guidelines, setting a positive example for the team. Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate effectively with the District Manager.

Store Operations: Manage inventory and expenses efficiently. Guide the team in receiving and transferring merchandise. Oversee the visual merchandising of the sales floor. Conduct training for cash handling and reporting processes. Ensure store security and respond to alarm situations appropriately. Prioritize the safety of employees and customers, addressing concerns promptly.

What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Merchandising preferred. A minimum of five years in retail with at least three years in management. Exceptional organization skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to build and motivate teams. Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Goal-focused and results-oriented attitude. Integrity and trustworthiness in all interactions. Excellent communication and collaborative skills. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Environmental Factors: Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours daily. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements required. Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. Ability to navigate ladders and work in various temperatures. Familiarity with basic tools for store maintenance.
