Job Overview The Retail Sales Specialist plays a vital role in driving sales and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This position also involves various operational responsibilities as directed by the management team, such as maintaining store cleanliness and displaying merchandise effectively. Reports To: Store Management Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement Welcoming Customers: Greet each customer warmly as they enter the store, offering a friendly and genuine welcome. Making Great First Impressions: Provide a memorable first impression with an upbeat demeanor and by adhering to the dress code. Maintaining Store Standards: Ensure the store remains clean and organized to provide a pleasant shopping atmosphere. Knowledgeable Service: Offer customers insightful and relevant information about our products. Fitting Room Assistance: Deliver excellent service in fitting rooms, promptly follow up with customers, and maintain a neat cash wrap area while encouraging additional purchases. Efficient Checkout: Facilitate fast and friendly service at the checkout, suggest gift cards, keep the cash wrap area tidy, and record customer details in our database. Expressing Gratitude: Thank customers sincerely for their visit as they leave the store. Teamwork & Reliability Task Management: Complete all assigned tasks to satisfaction, as laid out by management. Punctuality: Arrive on time and consistently adhere to the work schedule. Collaboration: Remain flexible and cooperate with colleagues and management to achieve all responsibilities. Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures without exception. Cleanliness: Carry out housekeeping duties as necessary. Individual Performance Sales Targets: Achieve or surpass the assigned Sales per Hour (SPH) goals. Other Responsibilities Participation: Attend all store meetings and related functions. Attitude: Maintain a positive outlook towards products and the company. Inventory Engagement: Take part in all inventory assessments. Additional Tasks: Embrace and complete other duties assigned by management. Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects over 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of at least eight hours during scheduled shifts. Qualifications Excellent Customer Service: Strong communication and customer service abilities. Retail Background: Previous experience in retail is preferred. Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Flexible Availability: Willingness to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Capability: Frequent walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance are essential.
