Retail Sales Advisor Location: Creekside Park Village Green, 26400 Kuykendahl Rd, The Woodlands, TX 77375Salary: $38,000 - $45,000 annually + commissionSchedule: Full-time, including weekends and holidays as neededPosition Summary:The Retail Sales Advisor is a customer-facing role where you will engage with Showroom visitors both online and in person, guiding them through product options and assisting them with their purchase decisions. This position requires a customer-focused individual who is comfortable with sales, maintaining showroom standards, and ensuring smooth operations. The Sales Advisor will actively engage with customers, assist with product demonstrations and offsite events, and handle basic administrative tasks, all while upholding the premium experience expected at Yanmar and observing our core values: People, Partner, Passion, Product.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Customer Service: Welcome and engage walk-in customers in the showroom, addressing inquiries. Assist customers through the sales process, from initial contact to transaction completion, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Provide product recommendations based on customer needs, offering detailed information on features, benefits, and usage. Handle point-of-sale transactions, process payments, and manage customer data in the CRM system. Handle transactions with speed and accuracy, ensuring a stress-free checkout process. Follow up with customers post-visit to ensure satisfaction and build lasting relationships.Showroom Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented showroom that reflects Yanmar's high standards. Perform regular quality checks on display products, ensuring everything is functional and presentable.Administrative Support: Provide operational support by maintaining accurate records, tracking leads, and assisting the manager with various operational tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. Organize and manage day to tasks and customer appointments, ensuring timely communication and dependability. Provide support with scheduling, event coordination, and other day-to-day operational needs, as assigned by the immediate Supervisor. Assist in preparing reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and inventory levels.Event & Marketing Support: Assist with in-store promotions, events, and marketing initiatives designed to drive traffic to the showroom. Help set up and manage showroom events, coordinating logistics and providing customer service during the events.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of basic sales techniques (e.g., consultative selling, handling objections, upselling). Familiarity with retail transactions, including payment processing and point-of-sale systems. Knowledge of customer service principles, including effective communication and conflict resolution. Awareness of how to create positive customer experiences and build long-lasting relationships. Comprehensive understanding of the products or services offered in the showroom, including features, benefits, and unique selling points. Ability to explain standard operator functions and features or usage scenarios cleraly to customers. Basic understanding of CRM systems for managing customer data, tracking interactions, and reporting. Familiarity with inventory or retail management software is a plus. Passionate about building brand awareness at every touchpointJob Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher is a plus. 1-2 years of experience in a retail or customer focused environment is required, sales experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering excellent customer experience through teamwork and collaboration. Basic knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, sales processes, and point-of-sale systems. Proficiency in using CRM tools and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Outlook). Salesforce experience is a plus. Confident interacting with customers across multiple channels: chat, email, text, phone, and in person.
