Job Summary: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) is the frontline liaison for patients receiving lab services. Responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for testing, this role ensures a professional and compassionate patient experience. The PSR II works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and is expected to demonstrate leadership, accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service excellence while handling various administrative and phlebotomy-related duties.
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily tasks accurately and timely under supervision Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing Verify patient demographic information and ensure labeling accuracy Maintain accurate records and documentation Represent the organization positively to all patients and public contacts Communicate procedures clearly to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding Follow established company practices and confidentiality standards Required Experience: 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Keyboard/data entry experience Ability to work independently in high-volume settings Flexibility to work at multiple locations on short notice Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation if required Nice-to-Have Experience: 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment Previous customer service experience in a retail or service setting Experience with on-call, holiday, and overtime shifts Required Skills: Phlebotomy (including pediatric and geriatric) Patient communication Data accuracy and attention to detail Preferred Skills: Medical assistant or paramedic training Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA) Multitasking in high-volume environments Knowledge of HIP nd patient confidentiality Leadership behaviors and process excellence Additional Skills : Tube labeling verification post-venipuncture Promoting organizational commitment Customer-focused communication Adherence to dress code and safety policies Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund
