The Office Assistant will serve as the initial point of contact for visitors coming to the Highland Ventures Brentwood, TN office. In addition, the candidate will support multiple departments and ensure the office operates efficiently.
Essential Functions
Greet all visitors as they come into the office and create an inviting environment, offering water or coffee, etc. Process daily mail, shipments going out and coming into the office. Order and stock office supplies and other items as needed Maintain all office equipment - copiers, postage meter, and order repairs when necessary Support the business through special projects that may include human resources, property management, marketing, and business development, etc. Maintain the office and gym to ensure the best presentation. Other duties as assigned Competencies Excellent communication skills - both verbal & written Thoroughness and attention to detail Ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality Teamwork and collaboration skills Flexibility and willingness to learn
Work environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Dress is professional/business casual.
Position type and expected hours of work
This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate the right candidate's availability. The role takes place onsite out of our home office in Brentwood, TN.
Required education and experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage confidential and sensitive information Organizational skills with high attention to detail Familiarity with software programs used in this job preferred Bachelor's Degree, a plus
