OB Hospitalist Physician – Bay Area Opportunity (Castro Valley, CA)

Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group (PAFMG) is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OBGYN physician to join our OB Hospitalist Program at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California.

Our collaborative, team-based program provides 24/7 in-house obstetric and gynecologic care, with one physician covering at a time. This role offers the opportunity to practice hospital-based obstetrics in a highly supportive environment with strong specialty backup.
Responsibilities include:
- OB triage, patient evaluation, and management - Delivery attendance and surgical assistance - Emergency Cesarean deliveries (support available from trauma surgery if needed) - Gynecologic consults and urgent/emergent surgery - Fetal monitoring and ED coverage for OB/GYN patients
You’ll work closely with local OBGYNs, MFM specialists at a nearby sister hospital, and an in-house team that includes pediatric hospitalists, trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, adult hospitalists, intensivists, and emergency medicine physicians.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted California medical license - Current DEA license

- 5 labor & delivery rooms, 2 triage beds, 1 L&D OR, 12 postpartum beds - A 6-bed Level I-II NICU (34+ weeks gestation), with pediatric hospitalists at every delivery - In-house anesthesiology coverage 24/7 - Full EMR (Epic) with remote fetal heart rate monitoring
