Celebrating over 40 years in business, Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company develops and implements safety footwear programs for large industrial, government, and service organizations. We are currently seeking a Retail Store Specialist to lead our location in New Castle, DE! This full-time, benefited position offers you an opportunity to gain retail management experience and even provides commission on certain items! Please note - we do not have our stores open at night! The store hours will be:

• Monday - Friday
  • 10am - 6pm
• Saturday
  • 10am - 2pm

To be successful in the position as Retail Store Specialist, qualified applicants should demonstrate an ability to:

• Wow customers with exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable customer service when assisting customers with the selection of their choice of safety shoes
• Learn various product lines and provide the benefits associated with each line to prospective customers.
• Ensure the store is clean, the showroom display fully stocked, and marketing material is up to date with displays.
• Merchandise incoming products.
• Process sales, and look up customer sales information including sales history, sales rules, etc.
• Generate new business in the local retail area through phone calls and marketing directed at consumer needs in the area.
• Support the expansion of store sales.
• Cross-train in other administrative office duties, such as preparing communications, ordering supplies, receiving mail, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• At least 6 months' experience in retail sales leadership - keyholder preferred
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Ability to learn and utilize company operating system (Navision)
• Demonstrated experience handling credit and cash transactions
• Ability to work Saturday
• Desire to grow sales and do outreach in community
