Job Summary:

Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in their assigned station efficiently, consistently, and according to club recipes and quality standards. This position plays a key role in the smooth operation of the kitchen, working closely with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and cook menu items on the line according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Set up and stock station with necessary supplies and ingredients for service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized station throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies during food preparation and handling.
  • Communicate clearly with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team during service.
  • Assist with prep work, receiving deliveries, and storing ingredients properly.
  • Monitor food stock and alert management to shortages or spoilage.
  • Handle food items and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain portion control and minimize waste to meet food cost goals.
  • Help with cleaning duties at the end of the shift or as assigned.
  • Assists with other duties as instructed by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum one-year cooking experience as a line cook and or prep cook.
  • Culinary Associates degree, culinary apprenticeship or minimum of two years or more in a high-end culinary or country club experience preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to interact with members, coworkers, and management in positive, supportive, cooperative ways.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented and enthusiastic.
  • A passion for excellence and commitment to high standards.
  • Knowledge and ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment, perform duties under pressure, and in a timely manner.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to lift and or carry 20 pounds
