Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist to join our team. As a therapist, you will be responsible for providing counseling and therapy services to individuals, couples, and families in a university setting in order to promote their emotional and mental well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of individuals and families.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' unique situations and goals.
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to address a wide range of issues such as communication problems, conflict resolution, parenting challenges, and mental health concerns.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies and intervention techniques to promote effective and positive outcomes for clients.
• Assist clients in improving their coping skills, enhancing their problem-solving abilities, and developing healthy relationships.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate client care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide guidance and support to clients during periods of crisis or transition.
• Educate clients on mental health issues, healthy communication patterns, and effective coping mechanisms.
• Stay updated on current research and trends in family therapy to apply the latest evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
• Preference given to child therapists, Spanish speakers and assessment abilities.
• Licensed as a therapist
• Proven experience working as a therapist or in a similar counseling role.- Strong knowledge and understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Excellent communication, active listening and empathy skills.
• Ability to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment for clients.
• Proficient in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
