Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist to join our team. As a therapist, you will be responsible for providing counseling and therapy services to individuals, couples, and families in a university setting in order to promote their emotional and mental well-being. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of individuals and families. Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' unique situations and goals. Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to address a wide range of issues such as communication problems, conflict resolution, parenting challenges, and mental health concerns. Utilize evidence-based therapies and intervention techniques to promote effective and positive outcomes for clients. Assist clients in improving their coping skills, enhancing their problem-solving abilities, and developing healthy relationships. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate client care and treatment plans. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Conduct regular progress reviews and modify treatment plans as necessary. Provide guidance and support to clients during periods of crisis or transition. Educate clients on mental health issues, healthy communication patterns, and effective coping mechanisms. Stay updated on current research and trends in family therapy to apply the latest evidence-based practices. Requirements: Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field. Preference given to child therapists, Spanish speakers and assessment abilities. Licensed as a therapist Proven experience working as a therapist or in a similar counseling role.- Strong knowledge and understanding of various therapeutic modalities. Excellent communication, active listening and empathy skills. Ability to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment for clients. Proficient in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
