As an Infusion Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our anticoagulation clinical team under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Your interaction with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners will be vital in delivering excellent patient care. Schedule: Monday-Friday, with either 5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts as determined by your supervisor. No on-call or weekend shifts required. Location: 9709 3rd Ave. NE, Seattle, WA. Additional training and coverage may be required at our downtown Seattle location: 904 7th Ave. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare and dispense medications efficiently while adhering to all USP 797 standards. Mix chemotherapy and biologics using safe aseptic techniques in specialized equipment. Follow clean room protocols to accurately prepare IV solutions and sterile products. Process medication orders promptly to ensure timely delivery. Set up continuous infusion pumps based on physician instructions. Maintain appropriate inventory levels in the clinic. Manage the indigent patient drug program for your assigned clinic. Assist with clinic organization and supply stocking as needed. Provide orientation and training for new pharmacy technicians. Adhere to safety guidelines by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials properly. Be knowledgeable in the proper use of PPE and spill kits for cytotoxic spills. Perform calculations necessary for preparing IV admixtures and investigational drugs under pharmacist supervision. Utilize closed system transfer devices effectively. Comply with USP 800 policies while handling hazardous medications. Identify hazardous medications per national guidelines and local policies. Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Washington. 1+ years of experience as an Infusion Pharmacy Technician. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a pharmacy technician certification program (CPhT). 3+ years of experience as an Infusion Pharmacy Technician. Our salary ranges from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on various factors.
