Weyerhaeuser has an excellent opportunity for a Customer Service Representative with our Panels sales team located in Kalispell, Montana. Our Plywood facility produces high-quality products which are sold to customers across the United States and Canada. Our plywood is primarily used in the transportation, recreation, and commercial industries. Our MDF plant produces high-quality fiberboard which is sold to manufacturers of furniture, cabinets, and other wood-based products throughout North America.
The Customer Service Representative has a key role in Weyerhaeuser's Panels business. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our fast-paced sales team in customer service, order entry and managing warehouse inventories. This person will assist customers with telephone sales or service inquiries, provide sales and marketing communication with other associates, assist with order-entry, and manage orders. Excellent computer skills are required to develop and generate sales and inventory reports, while supporting the development of sales presentations and organizing customer events and training. In the process of performing all these functions, the successful candidate will strive to gain product knowledge and learn all aspects of the business.
Accountabilities:
Acts as point of contact for customers, taking ownership of interactions. Troubleshoots simple to complex customer orders and problems, escalating situations appropriately and needing guidance with only the more complex or unique issues. Resolve customer issues in a timely manner with very few errors. Effectively submits new customer requests through SAP transaction (MDG).
Uses broad knowledge of customers, procedures, products, and services, demonstrating competency in these areas to build rapport, provide customer service and meet customer needs.
Develops basic knowledge, relationships and position of influence to proactively promote full range of products to established and prospective customers.
Executes promotions, specials, market pull through activities, and updates to products/pricing/service.
Collaborates to build and maintain strong relationships with peers, coworkers, internal/external customers, and broader Weyerhaeuser team members.
Qualifications Computer proficiency including Office, Excel, Word, and Web-based programs.
Proficiency with SAP strongly preferred
High level of initiative, self-motivated and able to work independently.
Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to promptly respond to customer's needs.
Good problem-solving skills; proactive in solving customer issues; uses positive approaches in managing conflict.
Ability to work well with Sales Reps, members of the production team and customers.
Process information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
Strong time management skills and successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Professional phone skills
Willingness to cross-train in other positions
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
3-5+ years building products or industry experience in customer service-related field OR 3+ years successful experience in WY Customer Service Rep II role

Employees will work in the office Tuesday through Thursday; remote work Mondays and Fridays

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $58,000 to $86,900 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
