Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures • Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and workspaces • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations • Adapt to special dietary requests and menu changes • Monitor food stock and minimize waste • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications: • Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures • Understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Good communication and teamwork skills • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments
