As a Certified Veterinary Technician Specialist at Petco, your primary role will be to provide exceptional veterinary care for our patients at Vetco Total Care hospitals and to deliver top-notch customer service to their owners. You'll play a vital role in fostering a supportive and motivated environment for hospital teams. Key Responsibilities: Welcome clients and their pets, obtain vital information, and document patient details in our electronic medical record system. Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and procedures while ensuring optimal patient care. Monitor anesthetized patients, recording vital signs and supporting their recovery. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian, maintaining patient comfort and well-being. Oversee inventory management and assist with scheduling appointments. Uphold a clean and organized hospital environment and participate in the training of new staff members. What We Are Looking For: A completed education as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician and at least 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a compassionate demeanor. A proactive team player who is open to learning and adapting to new processes.
