Opportunities available for all levels ofexperience, including new grads!CNA-Med Tech Job SummaryAs part of a strong clinicalteam, providing amazing care and service to our Residents is the primaryresponsibility of our Med Tech. The purpose of this position is to administermedications to each resident ensuring they receive the necessary care and servicesto attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, andpsychosocial well-being through the comprehensive assessment and plan of care.The CNA-Med Tech works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse asassigned and by State/ Federal regulations and facility procedures and reportsobservations to the licensed nurse on duty; maintains clean and orderlyequipment for medication administration. Reports to Charge Nurse. Responsibilities and duties include but notlimited to: Administers routinely scheduled oral andtopical medications according to physician order via scanning per policy toassigned residentsMonitors and records vital sign accordingto physician orders and standards to practiceReports any unusual or unwantedmedication side effects to Charge NurseMaintains accurate documentation of allmedications and treatments based on policy and best practicesAssists Charge Nurse with returning,re-ordering, and destroying medications per facility policyNotifies Charge Nurse of any outdatesmedication and any projected shortage of medications or suppliesMakes suggestions to resolve problems orstreamline the medication system to Charge Nurse Requirements: High School Graduate or GEDMust be able interact our computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systemMust be a graduate of a state-approved CertifiedNursing Assistant (CNA) program and on the Maine CNA RegistrySuccessful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program As a member of the First Atlantic Healthcarefamily you will benefit from: Flexible ShiftsFlexible Savings Account, including medicaldependent careShift differentials increase- $1.50Paid time off
