A Cashier, or Retail Cashier, is responsible for processing cash, debit, and credit transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment. Their duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, and scanning items for sale. No previous work experience or education required. Responsibilities Include:

* Ability to calculate sales and change quickly * Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts * Oriented toward serving others and helping customers * Customer-service skills * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Stocking and managing inventory * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Attention to detail * Honesty and commitment to the job
