Department: Intercollegiate Athletics Position Summary: The Athletics Marketing and Creative Services Coordinator reports to the Assistant Athletic Director in Communications. This position is responsible for executing marketing efforts and promotions on game day, creating content (written, video, and graphic) for MSU Denver Athletics, and developing new strategies for digital and social communication. Additionally, the role involves creating media marketing and digital media advertising for MSU Denver Athletics, as well as coordinating and assigning workers for game day operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Implement marketing of promotions and events via all communication channels and media. Plan, direct, and execute game day production efforts for men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and men's and women's soccer, including creating game scripts, music/band promotions, videos, cheer/mascot, and on-court presentations, while overseeing external fan engagement student interns. Manage event presentation, game experience, and sponsorship activation for Roadrunners Athletics, including writing scripts and timelines, directing games, creating and managing videoboard content, designing elements, managing game day staff, and building a comprehensive fan experience in-venue. Collaborate with on-campus departments (e.g., Student Activities) to promote the athletics brand and increase school spirit. Coordinate on-campus activation methods to promote upcoming games and increase exposure. Execute fulfillment of sponsorship contracts, including arena/stadium signage, public address announcements, in-game promotions, logo recognition, and other components of game presentation. Manage daily athletics e-blasts, including newsletters, ticket promotions, and weekly emails. Assist in managing the intern program for Athletics, including scheduling grassroots initiatives for the marketing department. Prepare pregame, in-game, and post-game videoboard elements for all home basketball and volleyball games. Adhere to NCAA, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, MSU Denver, and departmental rules and regulations, reporting violations as required. Assist the communications team during game days with video broadcast and sports information. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, graphic design, communications, sports management, or related field. Experience with social media and marketing to promote programs or events. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or sports management. Experience in intercollegiate athletics. Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, etc.). Experience in video broadcasting and sports information. Salary: $53,000 - $58,000 annually. The position is paid monthly and eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
