JOB MISSION:
The Associate Global Retail Operations Manager, Workforce Management (WFM), will play a key role in the implementation, management, and ongoing support of our Workforce Management solution across global New Balance retail stores. You will collaborate closely with regional business partners to configure our retail scheduling platform in alignment with global compliance standards, while tailoring solutions to meet local operational requirements.
This position is a foundational part of our evolving retail operating model. It offers the opportunity to drive continuous optimization, enhance workforce productivity, and support a dynamic, growing organization committed to operational excellence.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
OPERATIONS
Conduct discovery sessions with key stakeholders to refine demand inputs and optimize workforce planning.
Provide effective program leadership for Workforce Management (WFM), requiring operational expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and change management.
Consult with HR globally and regionally to ensure labor laws are properly configured in the system.
Support tech partners in Integration Testing and collaborate with field leadership and pilot stores for User Testing. Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
Customize views for all levels of leadership to have clear reporting of labor demand, key performance metrics, and HR compliance.
Facilitate conversations with the Global Training Team to develop operational training materials for all roles (e.g., Admin, Retail Leadership, Store UX).
Update and maintain system releases to align with organizational policies, labor laws, and evolving business needs.
Leverage data analysis to identify opportunities to enhance workforce efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Partner post-implementation with regional leaders to refine WFM processes based on feedback, data analysis, and best practices.
RELATIONSHIPS
Liaise with corporate and regional retail partners to promote global adoption of WFM across NB stores.
Communicate and coordinate platform updates and enhancements with regional partners.
Collaborate with external stakeholders to gather industry best practices for WFM execution.
Work continuously with tech partners and monitor system performance, resolving issues or gaps.
Train and develop teams on platform tools and functionalities.
Plan and execute educational and motivational meetings, workshops.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
At least 3 years of experience in regional/global retail operations.
Experience in Workforce Management preferred.
Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Experience developing, implementing, and measuring retail programs.
Project management experience.
Influential, engaging, and persuasive communication skills.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
