Assistant Accountant Make a difference. As an Assistant Accountant, you will ensure that all assigned accounting records and internal reports are prepared and maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Company policies, and procedures. In this role you will: Process payables requests as received, auditing for accuracy and for compliance with Company policy, procedures, and objectives Originate Company journal entries using accepted general ledger entry techniques Reconcile general ledger accounts as directed What you bring to the table: Minimum of 1 year experience in public, private, or government accounting required 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred Knowledge of general accounting methods and techniques Knowledge of basic accounts payable concepts Ability to use clearly prescribed standard practices which require the making of minor decisions and use of good judgment Good mathematical and computer skills Good communication skills Work Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, standard business hours, hybrid Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $24.00 per hour depending on experience.
