This temporary position is located in 65 Moore Drive - Wake County with the Department of Health and Human Services.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $22.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

Management Preferences:

  • Arrange quarterly Safety Committee meetings and agendas
  • Liaise with building campus to schedule fire drills, maintain tornado and emergency response plans
  • Document floor evacuation procedures; communicate emergency evacuation and updates as necessary
  • Arrange for staff Red Cross training/retraining/certifications including CPR and AED
  • Liaise with building campus to inspect and document fire extinguishers and defibrillators monthly
  • Liaise with building campus to schedule inspection and documentation of fire extinguishers and defibrillators
  • Liaise with reception/front desk on work order requests that have safety oversight aspects "Ready System"
  • Coordinate Work Order System submit and maintain trackers, respond to staff requests
  • Schedule service for 3rd party vendors ProShred, vending machine

Minimum Education and Experience:

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
