Warehouse Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with an hour lunch break at 11 am. This role involves handling materials ranging from 0.5 lbs to 150 lbs, and requires the ability to operate cherry pickers and sit-down lifts. Candidates should not have a fear of heights.

Responsibilities

1. Operate forklifts and cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
2. Pull and handle materials weighing from 0.5 lbs to 150 lbs.
3. Scan items using a mobile device and manage inventory.
4. Handle order picking, shipping, and receiving tasks.
5. Work primarily on order pickers (75%) and sit-down forklifts (25%).
6. Upload information into the computer system and assign pallets using a user-friendly interface.

Essential Skills

• Experience with sit-down forklift operation.
• Ability to work with RF scanners and manage inventory.
• General labor skills including loading, unloading, picking, and packing.
• Proficiency in using company computer systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment handling heavy lifting.
• Must wear long pants at all times for safety reasons.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large distribution warehouse for train parts. The facility is clean and organized, though it is not climate-controlled. Safety and teamwork are emphasized, and all team members must adhere to the dress code, which requires wearing long pants.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
