Primary Objective of Position

This working supervisor position is responsible for all facets of warehousing, inventory management, late-stage fulfillment, receiving, & shipping (domestic and international). You will manage resources for efficient workflow and provide operational support for all department employees. You are responsible to oversee all receipts, inventory movements to and from manufacturing, recycling, and shipments through department to meet metrics while ensuring safety, security, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy.

Major areas of Accountability

People

• Supervise, train and mentor 8-10 direct reports.
• Facilitate regular team meetings and lead teams toward the accomplishment of corporate goals, while supporting the continued implementation of Customer, Quality, Empowerment and Teamwork.
• Responsible to provide on-going feedback to employees and complete Annual Performance and Salary Reviews.

Production

• Manage resources to achieve schedules and plans while minimizing operating costs.
• Support the use of our quality system and maintain Work Instructions.
• Coordinate scheduling conflicts with other departments.
• Oversee late-stage fulfillment department (kitting).

Resource Management

• Monitor department productivity, costs, waste, and overall efficiencies. This role is empowered to take corrective actions when necessary.
• Proactively monitor resources (people and equipment) to ensure efficient production.
• Engage in process improvement activities and assurance of standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Preferences

• Minimum 5 years warehouse/shipping experience in a manufacturing setting required.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience is required.
• Ability and willingness to work with diverse cultures required.
• Safety and first aid training preferred.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Experience working with Epicor business system (without WMS) is preferred.
• Experience working with formal quality systems such as ISO9001 preferred.
