Warehouse - Operations Manager

Our client is an international transportation and logistics company with headquarters in the U.S., committed to providing our customers with effective transportation, logistics, warehousing, and e-commerce solutions.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 3PL warehouse. These functions include but not limited to oversee a staff of 20+ warehouse associates, control time, quality, and costs. Need to be extremely flexible and communicative with staff. We have two (2) warehouses, one FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) and one domestic. The security of the facility as well as the safety of all associates will also encompass the capacity of the Warehouse Manager. Warehouse Manager will also be involved with inventory, customer service with one-on-one contact with customers, accurate inventory, receiving and creating warehouse receipts with our WMS (Magaya), accurate picking and pulling for cargo leaving our facility, SOP's. Constant communication with Sales, Import/Export, Executive team, and all other branches.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations of warehouse and staff.
  • Ensure the receipt, coordination and safety of goods coming through the warehouse.
  • Ensure that the orders are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
  • Responsible for facility security and safety.
  • Ensure high quality customer service is delivered.
  • Verify shipment for accuracy and document discrepancies.
  • Responsible for customers' inventory.
  • Coordination of loading/unloading containers.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse and equipment by implementing and enforcing procedures.
  • Ensure all overages, shortages, and damages are reported to warehouse operations team.
  • Daily walk through of warehouse to ensure all cargo is labeled and accounted for.
  • Responsible of the verification process for shipment accuracy on all cargo releases.
  • Coordination for daily imports of containers, preparing releases for outbound cargo.
  • Entering warehouse receipts into the WMS and printing labels.
  • Daily communication staff on daily activities.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Education, and Experience):

  • Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, E-commerce, Logistics 5+ years (Required).
  • MAGAYA.
  • Microsoft Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Associate degree in related area.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Positive "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to work quickly and precisely in a fast-paced working environment under tight deadlines.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong managerial abilities and communications skills.
  • Able to maintain excellent safety record, accountability for safety procedures.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 Per Year
