Opportunity

The Visual Merchandiser will contribute to the profitability of the Kohler Retail and Golf Shops in such a way as to reflect the high standards of the Kohler Co. This position will create and maintain merchandising elements that will engage guests and stimulate sales activity. The Visual Merchandiser will create a consistent and elevated retail aesthetic across resort retail properties that is representative of the 5-Star/5-Diamond luxury Brand.

This position will create an elevated shopping experience using the 'vibe' of each respective store and shop. The Visual Merchandiser will serve as an advisor to retail leadership on creating a luxury shopping experience. This position will work with store Coordinators and Retail Leadership on developing luxury selling practices and will set the expectation for gracious guest interactions.

This position will assist within all H&RE retail outlets and may be physical, often involving lifting and moving of shelving or fixtures. Attention to detail is an essential part of this position. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Elevate displays and create a consistent, and premium, retail aesthetic across the H&RE retail spaces. Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy with retail leadership:

Ø Create in-store and window displays that attract guests and encourage them to purchase our product.

Ø Assist in special events and Holiday set-up of new and current merchandise.

Ø Manage and maintain the kiosks at The American Club for the Kohler Retail and Golf Shops.

Ø Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the shop during their shopping experience.

• Responsible for being creative, energetic and imaginative with the product and creatively use the props to accentuate the luxury products.

• Responsible for researching current trends to make sure the designs are a representation of our target audience.

• Assist Coordinators and Retail Leaders in sourcing any props, lighting and resources needed.

• Work closely with Buyers, Retail Leaders and Coordinators to present and implement design and selling strategies.

• Must be self-motivated, decisive, and able to work against deadlines.

• In-Store / Shop Responsibilities:

Ø This position will serve as support for the store coordinators and will be utilized in a sales associate capacity.

Ø This position requires weekly communication with each store coordinator or retail leader and will be scheduled based on each business's unique needs.

Ø Responsible for changing out merchandise on the focal tables as deemed necessary by coordinators.

• Create a luxury shopping experience by selling retail products to guests in a sophisticated manner. Mentor associates in selling

• Give feedback to retail leaders regarding brands being ordered, sales trends, or new industry trends in design and fashion.

• The Visual Merchandiser will serve as an advisor to on creating a luxury shopping experience.

This position will work with store Coordinators and Retail Leadership on developing luxury selling practices and will set the expectation for gracious guest interactions.

Skills/Requirements

• Ability to work with little to no supervision

• High School diploma is required. A degree in design, merchandising, marketing or related field is preferred

• Strong interest in learning about the merchandise sold at the Retail Shops

• Adherence to the brand's goals and philosophy regarding marketing and sales strategies

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are a must

• Enjoy working with all types of people

• Appearance and language skills must reflect the image of Kohler Co., the store, and the high-end, luxury products

The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
