Vice President Account Director, Business Leadership - Retail Experiences

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FORMomentum Worldwide is looking for a driven Vice President, Director to be a key member of the Business Leadership team in support of a global retail client. In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of special store events and experiential programs for our client's retail stores, enabling meaningful connections for the client's vast customer base. This role will be based near our client's Headquarters and will be required to report to their office several days a week. You will be the day-to-day point person for the client, internal Walmart stakeholders, and external partners, and will be responsible for pushing forward the vision and strategy for the projects you are leading. We're looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently. We're looking for someone who is detail oriented and highly organized as you'll be developing and leading key operational processes. The ideal candidate excels at creating and actively maintaining relationships, is a strong communicator, consistently strives to identify and solve client business challenges, and can provide guidance to junior team members. This individual also has experience in the CPG industry and/or the Retail industry and the experiential space.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Provide day-to-day management of project planning leading up to, during, and following special store events
- Manage day-to-day communication with partner agencies in support of these special events, and manage their activity onsite
- Strategic development of new platforms and programs that deliver on business objectives.
- Establish relationships at the store and local level to support in event operations during store events
- Provide day-to-day management of the client's business and internal team, managing relationships and expectations in accordance with agency philosophy
- Foster strong relationships across the client marketing team and proactively troubleshoot conflicts with clients
- Lead the development and execution of concurrent experiential programs and omnichannel initiatives
- Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams at the mid-to-senior level, working cross-functionally to solicit and convey all necessary information in a timely manner, ensure brand strategy and objectives are being met, and troubleshoot issue as they arise
- Managing day-to-day communication with internal and external partners and scheduling client owned programming
- Attend and contribute to client presentations, providing clear set-up and understanding of workstreams as key active member of business leadership team
- Possess full knowledge of agency's offerings, mission, and vision
- Travel to support experiences as primary client contact on the ground as needed

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 12+ years of relevant marketing experience in the CPG industry and/or retail
- Agency experience, in particular in the live events industry, with solid understanding of agency processes, department functions and workflow
- Demonstrated ability to develop & manage strong client relationships and lead external partners within an IAT setting
- Proven success in managing internal and external partners through process, particularly within a creative environment
- Highly organized and calm under pressure, with ability to be flexible, multi-task and react in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Strong writing and communication skills with ability to communicate points-of-view succinctly, thoroughly, and confidently both in writing and verbally
- Self-starter and resourceful, with a proven ability to "get-the-job-done", whatever it takes
- Strong budget creation and management skills, with the ability to deliver within/under assigned budget, and hold teams accountable to tracking and reporting
- Effective project management and prioritization skillset, particularly on large projects with many moving parts
- Detail oriented - ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Knowledge and experience with tools like Smartsheet, Airtable or other process and workflow flow tools a plus
- Polished, professional demeanor, projects confidence and enthusiasm for the business
- Travel as required by Client/Agency team
