The Canada retail team is responsible for owning the end-to-end experience for Amazon's Canadian customers. Vendor Managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection and convenience across their business. They play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance for their category. The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon.ca. They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to drive performance for our Amazon.ca vendor partners. This position provides the candidate an opportunity to execute analytical deep dives that help inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, this candidate will have exposure in driving category growth. Amazon.ca Vendor Managers have the unique opportunity to work at the most innovative online retailer, while developing strong functional skills in online merchandising/marketing, buying, planning/forecasting, pricing, and business analytics. Key job responsibilities Defines the vision and business strategy for the category including North Star metric(s) and KPIs for measuring results Manages category P&L and develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvements for the business Develops vendor relationships inclusive of terms negotiations and growth focused initiatives Drives broad adoption and provides an unparalleled customer experience Devises clear frameworks for making day-to-day decisions Leads execution of projects including building project plans Drives commitments from internal teams including Marketing, Engineering, and Category Management Dives deep into inputs and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience for subcategories. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of Excel experience 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
