Responsibilities Work in a short-term acute care hospital telemetry unit Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with conditions such as total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetes, medical COVID, and oral surgery Unit has an average daily census of 16 with a 1:4-6 nurse to patient ratio Weekend block day schedule options: Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30 Floating required between Progress West and St. Peters locations as needed Uses Epic for charting; experience required Initial orientation may occur on weekdays Scrub color is light gray or silver Responsible for tele nursing care for adult and geriatric populations with a variety of surgical and medical needs Expected to float between specified hospital locations based on facility need Free parking available in the facility parking lot Paid modules to be completed during pre-start and orientation, some of which may be on weekdays No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract, and none during the first week of orientation Travelers may work up to 18 months at the location, with a required 3-month break afterward Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications in NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BLS required Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry nursing experience required EPIC charting experience required Telemetry experience in an adult and geriatric setting required First-time travelers accepted Must reside outside a 75-mile radius; no local candidates allowed Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-645648.
