Setting:

Acute Care Hospital – Radiation Therapy Unit (hospital radiation therapist / oncology)

Assignment Duration:

13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)

Shift:

8-hour days, Monday–Friday (typically 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM; hours may vary with patient volume)

Guaranteed Hours:

40 hours per week

On-Call:

Evening and weekend call rotation; major holidays rotated annually

Patient Volume:

Approximately 50 patients per day (typical for busy radiation therapy jobs)

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist (hospital/oncology experience preferred)

Certified Radiation Therapist – ARRT (T) certificate required

BLS (AHA) certification required

Ability to complete fingerprinting (remote or in-person at Jackson or Grenada campus)

Influenza (flu) vaccine required (medical exemption with documentation accepted)

Experience with EPIC charting system preferred

Key Responsibilities

Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists and physicians

Operate and support advanced treatment and imaging equipment including Varian Edge with HyperSight and Identify, Varian Ethos with Vision RT, Siemens Go Open Pro Simulator, and ARIA Record & Verify system

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC and ARIA; ensure compliance with charting best practices

Participate in evening, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams (physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, nurses) to ensure high-quality patient care

Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control standards, and institutional policies
