Not preferred but will consider (Resource Team) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Surgeries - CABG, AVR/MVR, Lobectomy, Thoracotomy, Venous Lysis, Embolectomy, Thrombectomy, AAA, Amputations, Vascular bypasses, Fasciotomies, EVAR, TEVAR, CEA/TECAR, TAVR, Cardiac Cath pre/post, Esophagectomy Common Diagnoses - Endocarditis, Mitral valve disease, Aortic/ Carotid Stenosis, Adenocarcinoma, Aortic Dissection, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Chest pain, CAD, Heart Failure, PAD, Cellulitis Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4-5, Critical staffing would be 1:6 Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement) Skills required: o General Cardiac Telemetry Skillset : Cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV/CVL/Midline management, chest tube management, BGT/DHT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG, G/J, Wound vacs, JP drains, flexiseals, foleys, PCA/PCEA pumps, arrythmia intervention/management o Medication gtt management to include - Cardiac Drips (titrating and non-titrating), Heparin, Angiomax, Argatroban, blood products, IVF · Support within the Department: o CNA – ratios vary o Receptionist/HUC o Charge nurse, 24/7 – may or may not have patients o Phlebotomy – peripheral blood draws only o IV/VAT Team o Resource Nurse – as available o RT, 24/7 o Hospitalist, 24/7 o Intensivist, 24/7 o Telemetry monitoring/tech?
