About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Mount Shasta, California, 96067!Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Location: Mount Shasta, CADuration: 13 Weeks ContractShift: Night Shift (12-hour shifts, 3 days/week)Pay Rate: $3,000 – $3,250 per weekExperience Required: Minimum 2 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join a healthcare facility in Mount Shasta, CA. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, ensuring safe and high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using fetal monitoring systems Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and procedures Administer medications, IV therapy, and epidurals as prescribed Respond to obstetric emergencies, including fetal distress and complications Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Support and advocate for patients throughout the birthing process

Required Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (CA or compact state) Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required Strong knowledge of obstetric care and fetal monitoring Ability to manage high-risk deliveries and emergency situations
